1. Describe how the pre-notetaking sheet helped you find both focus for your topic and research questions to investigate. Did you find it easy or difficult to create a fat question from your ideas?
The sheet helped me decide what topic I wanted to use because it gave me an idea of what I could write about and what topics I had the potential of learning a lot about.
I thought it was fairly easy to think of fat questions given the information I already had. Teacher Response 3-21-07

1. What are some of the previous research projects you have done?
In 7th Grade we had and I-Search and mine was on healthcare. In Louisiana History our project was to research the Cajun Country of Louisiana. This year we have had to research labyrinths.
2. Based on these projects, what does research mean to you?
To me research means to be given a topic or choose and topic and learn as much as possible on it by using the internet or books.
3. Describe one of your research successes or failures. Why was the experience positive or negative?
One of my research failures was when we studied Cajun Country in LA History. At the end of the project, I hadn't learned that much information and didn't retain it. Teacher Response 3-15-07
